Reading about sex is incredibly boring so I skimmed over all this as fast as possible. However, as a woman and mother I think that men are obsessed with the animality of sex because that's all they have. Once you have fallen and been pregnant, given birth, breastfed and brought a child to some degree of independence your experience of the full range of human animality and its potential for development is so great that sex feels awfully coincidental to the human mammalian experience.
