We also tend think of rivers as going from and to - mountains to sea in a linear way. I think we can learn from them. When I have to make a presentation I put different river photographs in the slides (I remove them later if not appropriate to the topic ) to remind me that stories should be branching, and pause to pool, we don’t need to race in a quick straight line and flow everything into to the sea. That’s not how flow goes. I am really looking forward to listening to this interview, I am saving it for some uninterrupted time and when I have Macfarlane’s book.
